Bio: My name is Barbara Saunders and I'm a Real Estate Agent with John L. Scott Real Estate. My real estate career started in 1994, shortly after moving to Port Townsend. Prior to that my professional life was devoted to nursing. As a registered nurse, I spent 15 years working in such diverse locales as Colorado Springs, Colorado, Galveston, Texas, La Jolla, California and Burkina Faso, West Africa. Past times then ranged from skiing and motocross racing, to surfing and how to cook dinner with almost no ingredients. When I moved to Port Townsend, nursing opportunities were limited and I made my move into the new career of real estate. " The years with the Peace Corps in Africa taught me self-motivation and self- reliance, while the nursing career taught me the importance of thoroughness and thoughtfulness.
