Bio: My name is Alan Thompson and I am an experienced and well-rounded in residential real estate as anyone in Virginia and perhaps the country. I have worked at every level of residential real estate from working as an individual agent, serving as an office Managing Broker, and as a co-Owner and Principle Broker for one of the Top 20 real estate companies in the nation. Alan's focus now is on leading and developing The Tiger Team, a real estate team located in Virginia Beach, Virginia that specializes in residential real estate sales. I began my real estate career in the 1980's in the highly competitive Northern Virginia/ Washington DC marketplace. After receiving numerous local, state, and national awards for sales production, I made a decision in 1993 to move for a better quality of life - I chose Hampton Roads, Virginia. I immediately excelled in this new marketplace having won numerous awards, including the Tidewater Association of REALTORS President's Award, and being the first person to be recognized 2 times as a Top 40 Under 40 Business Person in Hampton Roads. I have also received national and state awards for production and expertise including the 1999 Sales Associate of the Year for Virginia, being invited to The Summit Conference as one of the top 1% of residential sales agents in the country, and numerous other awards. Have also been actively involved in teaching and developing other real estate agents and is a Senior Instructor of the REALTORS Institute, was recognized as the Real Estate Educator of the Year for Virginia in 2001, and has served as a guest speaker at the National Association of REALTORS Convention on several occasions. I specialize in developing teams and systems to assist buyers and sellers in their real estate needs in every type of real estate market. With over 25 years of experience and having personally sold over 1200 homes and having supervised the sale of over 50,000 transactions in his management and leadership roles, it is difficult to find a more experienced and professional real estate broker to represent you in your real estate needs.
