Bio: I entered the Real Estate profession from a Professional Engineering Sales background. I have worked in professional sales my entire career. The most important lesson I learned in those years was to “Listen”. Real Estate agents don't sell homes. They listen. I listen to what folks want in a home. Then I begin a search for homes that best meet those requirements. I present those homes for the buyers review and consideration then arrange to show the selected home/s to the prospective buyers. Although the typical agency agreement spells out the fiduciary duties an agent must fulfill for the seller, the buyer is often left, in a sense, not being fully represented. I form that fiduciary commitment to the buyer exactly as a listing agent has with the seller of a home. Buyers too have the option of being represented exclusively by their own agent. I assist a buyer in making a right decision on purchasing a home. We discuss the current history of the home and area. I provide comp’s for the area pricing etc. And, in general, we discover all the answers to the buyer’s questions before a final decision to purchase is made. Once the decision is made to purchase a home I then become directly involved with negotiations with the seller or sellers agent of the home regarding price and final conditions of the sale on the buyers behalf.
