Bio: My name is Jana J. and I have lived in Beautiful New Bern NC for the past 17 years. I am originally from Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing. I have been a full- time Realtor since 1997. Prior to this career, I spent nine years in consumer product sales and sales management with Revlon. The last position I held relocated me to Atlanta, GA where I was District Sales Manager for the Southeast United States. I relocated to New Bern, NC in 1994 and began planting the seeds for my real estate career. I took the required classes and passed the North Carolina Real Estate Exam for a Sales License and became a sales agent. I continued my education and later took and passed the NC State Broker's Exam and completed the CCIM program for Commercial Real Estate. I grew up around real estate. My grandmother owned a real estate agency, so I had seen first-hand the dedication that was necessary to be successful in this business. I remember showing and previewing property as a child. It's in my blood! My husband, Steve Tyson, knows the real estate market in New Bern and the surrounding areas.
