Bio: My family and I moved to Raleigh in February 1976 where I raised three children. I had been very involved in the community through church and scouts. In the church, I served as a preschool coordinator for 10 years and later served as a moderator for the jr. high and high school programs for about another 10+ years. Before becoming a real estate consultant, I had been a banker, a teacher assistant and an executive assistant for a meeting planning and association management company. I left the last position to spend time with my daughter before she left for college. My decision to become a REALTOR came about as the result of my son not having a good experience with his agent. I wanted to help other young adults purchase a home, knowing what the process was and hopefully making it easier for them. I graduated from real estate school in 1999 and earned my broker's license in 2000. Right out of real estate school, I started my real estate career and have really enjoyed every bit of it. Education is very important in the real estate profession. You need to keep up with the law, the growth of the area, the new issues that arise within cities, counties, etc. In order to do this I stay current with my continuing ed, attend the different local governing meetings, and read a lot. In 2002 I earned my Quality Service Certification which is a designation that makes me accountable for the service I provide to my customers and clients. My approval rating with my clients is 97%. I feel that service is the key to making friends and having repeat business. I prefer to become friends with my clients and help them throughout the sale as well as anytime after that they may need me. I will be working on designation of GRI this year. The Graduate REALTORŪ Institute (GRI) symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation. REALTORSŪ with the GRI designation are highly trained in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their clients. I do believe in community service and become involved in helping others in anyway possible. I participate in fundraisers through the real estate organizations as well as individual orginizations for various benefits. This may be to help victoms of major storms to a local community member needing funds for one reason or another.
