Bio: I am a former elementary school teacher and still hold my teaching license with the Clark County School District. I have lived in Las Vegas since 1965 and raised my 3 children here. I became licensed in Real Estate in 1979 when Las Vegas had a population of less than 120,000. I got my brokers license in 1981 and managed a branch office for the Prudential Americana Group and created the Relocation Division where I managed all incoming and outgoing referrals. I have since left management and am doing what I like best; actively being involved in the home buying and selling process as an agent. Today's market is different with the majority of the inventory being foreclosures and short sales, but the basics are the same. Now is an excellent time to buy for an investment or primary residence. I am celebrating my 30th year in real estate and have lived through the market of high interest rates in the 80's, the mania of 2004 and am looking forward to 2009 and the changes/challenges that it will bring. You never stop learning. Developers of new construction are offering great prices and incentives in all areas of the Las Vegas Valley, which are very competitve to the foreclosure prices and in much better condition. Many opportunities exist in todays market. There are high-rises on and off the Strip, condominiums and single family residences in all sizes in all areas including Lake Las Vegas that are very reasonably priced. Great time to make that move.
