Bio: After ten years as a legal secretary and office manager. I was just burnt out with lawyers. My first husband was a real estate broker and encouraged me to join him in the real estate business. Within 4 months of the birth of my son I received my real estate license and never looked back. I entered the business in 1984. A time when the average interest rate was 14%. Although sales prices were low in those days, it still was a challenge getting buyers qualified. I learned to be very creative early in my career. Within two years of obtaining my license I became a single mother of a two year old. Talk about motivation! When I moved out of my husband's house I had less then $100.00 in my checking account. Nevertheless, I perservered and quickly became one of the top agents in El Dorado County, out producing many long time veterans of the industry. After working with Coldwell Bank and Remax, I joined ERA Realty Center in 1991, and there I stayed. The owners of our company treated us like family. All for one and one for all! They constantly supported us emotionally and professionally thru a very difficulty and lengthy down market. They truly cared about us and our success. These owners were and still are committed to our success and developed many marketing tools that surpass the competition. We are the only real estate company to have our own TV show advertising homes for sale, we have our own magazine, and we are the only company with a professional "in house" printing company that consistently produces quality flyers, announcements, printed ads and mail outs. There is no doubt that my 10 years as a legal secretary and office manager enabled me to develop a good eye for details, organization and listening skills. I have been able to combine that experience and my 20 years in real estate with genuine concern to provide a professional and comfortable experience for my customers. To me there is no more important word in my vocabuary then ETHICS. You only have once chance with ethics. If you lose sight of that, you will endanger your reputation as well as the rest of the agents at your company. I have worked very hard to establish a quality reputation and I guard it carefully. What does the future hold? Well, I hope to continue to service my past and future customers at the highest quality attainable and I hope to be able to frequently visit my 20 year old son Shane, wherever he may live, who is now a United States Marine.
